Junior Member Volunteer Bond

The parent/guardian of each Junior member registered in the Winter/Spring program (January 4-May 22, 2010) must commit a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer time to the Duelling Over a Grand regatta (March 27-28, 2010).

As part of registration, please provide a volunteer bond, in the form of a cheque for $125, postdated May 22, 2010 and payable to VCRC. If the 10-hour volunteer requirement is not fulfilled, the cheque will be cashed at the end of the season.

VCRC is a not-for-profit club where volunteers play a big role, particularly in running the regattas hosted by VCRC. The Duelling Over a Grand Regatta (March 27-28, 2010) is an important development regatta for junior rowers. The unique format ensures that each crew will have at least 2 races over 2 days, providing great preparation for multi-day regattas later in the season (Brentwood and Shawnigan). And it is a lot of fun!
